SOLA provides Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for photovoltaic systems in order to ensure maximum efficiency in installed solar PV systems, as well as energy and carbon reporting.

Although the need for O&M of solar plants is much lower than that of other electricity production plants, PV systems do require ongoing maintenance if they are to continue to produce optimally over their 25+ year lifespan.

As each solar project is an asset with a 25+ year lifespan, it is essential that planning for and procuring a solar system includes provision for O&M. This will help to ensure the longevity, as well as the productivity, of the system.

SOLA provides O&M services for solar PV systems over 100 kWp. SOLA  has extensive experience in both monitoring and maintaining solar PV systems, thereby ensuring peak performance and operation.

SOLA Operations and Maintenance (O&M)

SOLA is developing a dedicated O&M software package that will display key real-time information about solar plant performance. Clients will be able to view and download financial and energy information over specified periods. The O&M software is designed to provide the client with a comprehensive view of their solar plant/s operation.

With this O&M software clients will be alerted to any faults identified at their solar plants and will be notified about pending inspections, maintenance or cleanings. The O&M software will be used by the O&M division to streamline the overall functioning of the O&M business.

SOLA uses Meteocontrol as its primary solar PV monitoring platform. Solar production data is captured, stored and interpreted via the Meteocontrol API. This repository of solar data forms the basis of the monthly reports, and the Meteocontrol platform allows for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting.
